Monika Reinvalds

REINVALDS, Monika Kalamazoo Passed away September 22, 2007 at Bronson Hospital. Monika was born July 15, 1914 in Mazsalaca, Latvia and had lived in Kalamazoo since 1949. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 25 years as a bookkeeper at National City Bank. Monika was a member of the Latvian Association of Kalamazoo and the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dr. Voldemars Svikis in 1951. In 1962, she was married to Osvalds Reinvalds, who survives. Also surviving are a son Andis Svikis and wife Audrey Andrews and 2 grandchildren, Andis A. Svikis and Aleksandra A. Svikis, all of Kalamazoo. A private memorial service and graveside will be held. Memorial contributions in Monika?s memory may be made to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Kalamazoo or D.V. of Kalamazoo.
