PHARES, Mr. Millard C.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Tuesday afternoon August 2, 2010 at home with his family at his side. Millard was born April 4, 1936 in Burkesville, Kentucky a son of Marvin and Ella Elmore Phares. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Marines. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian G. Marshall Phares on March 2, 2006; and a son, David Phares; and a grandson, Denny. Millard is survived by 8 children, Ella Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, Giles Lanita Jones of Alexandria, IN, Sussie Dolli and Seth of Kalamazoo, Pam Bennett of Indianapolis, IN, Robert McNally of Elwood, IN, Anita Phares of Florida, John Paul Phares of Kalamazoo, and Danny Phares of Battle Creek; special grandchildren, Star Carl, Sam Chrissy, Ashley, Susan, and Amanda Brian, and several other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Benny Phares of Underwood, MN; 2 aunts, Nell and Maxine; a special cousin, Bobby Jean; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, especially in Underwood, MN.
