NICHOLSON, Mildred M.
Of Scotts Mildred passed away early Sunday morning, May 18, 2008 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born June 29, 1926 in Breedsville, Michigan, one of six children to Fredrick and Margaret Dumpke Kreger. Mildred was employed by J.C. Penny Department Stores for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1988. On November 10, 1945, she was united in marriage to Robert William Nicholson in Climax, who preceded her in death on December 18, 1985. Also preceding her in death were her parents; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and 1 great-grandchild, Sarah Ennamany. Surviving are 2 sons, Robert Nicholson of Scotts, and Brent Becky Nicholson of Climax; 3 grandchildren, Mike Christine Nicholson of Kalamazoo, Heather Todd Keagle of Bedford, and Aaron Nicholson of Kalamazoo; 3 great-grandchildren, Whitney Nicholson, Jenna Ennamany, and Jaden Keagle; 1 sister, Helen Lewis of Silver Lake; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Mildred will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery, Climax. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
