REYBURN, Mildred Elaine Neil
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Reyburn, Mildred Elaine Neil passed away November 15, 2012. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mildred was born March 10, 1923 in Albion, Michigan. She graduated from Albion High School and subsequently graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Albion College. She went to work for the South Haven Schools after graduation, but soon moved to Kalamazoo to work for the Upjohn Company. She met her future husband, Allan S. Reyburn during this time. They wed and Allan accepted a position in Ohio and then Detroit, where their two children were born. In 1961, the couple and their children moved to Coldwater, Michigan where Allan purchased a men's clothing store. In addition to raising her children, Mildred helped with the store, worked for the Coldwater Schools and was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Coldwater. Upon Allan's retirement, the couple returned to Kalamazoo to live. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers Morse and Edward, and her sister, Jessie. Surviving is her sister, Dorothy Smith; children Andrew and Patricia Reyburn, Julia Reyburn Christofaro; and grandchildren Anna and Gina Christofaro. Millie loved her family and friends. She also enjoyed bridge, activities at Coldwater Country Club, the theater and travel. Millie was a long time, active member of PEO. She will be sorely missed. No service is planned. Private interment will be in the First Presbyterian Church Columbarium. Memorials may be made to the Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Foundation.
