Mikel K. Smith

SMITH, Mikel K. of Kalamazoo Passed away January 11, 2011 at home. Mikel was born February 15, 1948 in Kalamazoo, the son of Lincoln Smith and Margaret Koscher Smith-Kirsch. Surviving are his children, Adam Smith and Jedediah Virginia Smith, all of Portage; 6 grandchildren; his mother, Margaret Kirsch; brothers, Phil and Steve Smith and Kenneth Kirsch; several nieces and nephews. Preceding Mikel in death were his father, and a brother, Mark Smith. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where services will be held at 9:30 AM Friday. Burial will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Mikel's memory may be directed to a charity of your choice.
