Michelle Marie Peaslee, age 65, passed away February 27, 2020 at her residence in Paw Paw, MI. Michelle was born October 20, 1954 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Neil and Bernadine (Mazur) Sauve. On December 31, 1982, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Garret Peaslee.

For many years Michelle was a Graphic Production Artist working with Upston Associates who produced the Homes Magazine. Michelle had many passions. An avid nature lover, she enjoyed feeding the birds, the deer, and the hummingbirds. Her love of cooking led to many family and friends dinners. With a green thumb, Michelle had many indoor orchids and Christmas cacti. Outdoors her flower beds thrived with flowering plants and she had a special interest in growing garlic.

Since moving to Paw Paw six years ago, Michelle volunteered with several organizations including: Eleanor's Pantry, The Porch, the Community Learning Garden, and the annual Paw Paw Community Thanksgiving Dinner. But above all, Michelle's greatest passion was her family, often expressing that her greatest achievement in life was her family.

Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Garret Peaslee; their children: Laura (Eric) Geresy, Matthew (Alessandra) Peaslee, and Trevor (Katrina) Peaslee; grandchildren: Kylin Geresy, Jackson Peaslee, Neil Peaslee and Baby Boy Peaslee due in May of this year; step-grandchildren: Ella Chatson and Lex Chatson. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Michael Sauve.

In accordance with Michelle's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Thursday, March 5th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Michelle's Life will be held at a later date to be announced. The family wishes to thank everyone for reaching out to them with cards, texts, emails, and many other ways of encouragement throughout her illness.
