Maynard L. LaRoy

LAROY, Maynard L. Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, June 25, 2007. He was born May 8, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the son of Charles and Henrietta Weenick LaRoy and had been a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. He was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church and had worked for Van Dam & Krusinga for 22 years as a carpenter. On October 1, 1947, he married the former Elizabeth Nap, who survives. Maynard is also survived by their children, Nancy Donald Doerr of Lawton, John Sally LaRoy of Kalamazoo and Charles Vickie LaRoy of Plainwell; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his brother, Arlon Jessie LaRoy of Kalamazoo; his sisters, Thelma ?Dolly? Roy Krusinga of Allegan, Luella Harm Doorlag of Kalamazoo and Marilyn Lloyd Dow of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Norma LaRoy of Allegan; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Edwin, Alfred and Marvin LaRoy. Following a private family interment, funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in the Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd., with Rev. Dr. Warren Lammers officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to Second Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
