Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Sunday evening January 4, 2009. May was born October 2, 1948 in El Paso, Texas a daughter of Benton and Jean Starts Neeley. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 20 years, coming from Corpus Christi, TX. She was also employed with the YWCA for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patricia Gurrero. She is survived by 3 children, Sheila Podolsky of Kalamazoo, Cheryl Jeremy Gardner of Springboro, OH, and Michael Chris Podolsky of Otsego; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gloria Robert Bordentt of Texas and JoAnn Neeley of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Thursday, January 8th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Allegan Hospital Infusion Center.
