WEAVER, Maxine G. Also known as Maxeen Kalamazoo Mrs. Weaver passed away Friday afternoon, March 2, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born December 20, 1917 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of James and Gladys Parker Smith. She was a member of St. Luke?s Episcopal Church and for 60 years, she owned and operated the Weaver Dance School in Kalamazoo. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Weaver in 1962; her parents; and a sister, Marie Brown. Surviving are two children, Michael Rose Anne Weaver and Patrick Deborah Weaver both of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Lisa James Giffels, Kerrie James Newton and Michael T. Weaver; 3 great-grandchildren, Keegan and Grace Giffels and Niki Newton; and a dear friend, Susan Turner of Kalamazoo. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Mother Marlene Jacobs, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
