Maxine June Neal

NEAL, Maxine June Of Galesburg Passed away Wednesday September 12, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Maxine was born June 8, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Erma Reynolds Curtis. She was a longtime resident of Lincoln Park, MI, where she was a 20 year volunteer with the S.E. Wayne County Hospice. Maxine was a well known candy maker and had started her own company ?Maximum Delights? at the age of 70. On April 3, 1949, in Kalamazoo, she was united in marriage to Henry G. Neal who preceded her in death on August 4, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by all of her siblings, Ted, Clyde, Everett, Bill, Russell and Clayton Curtis, Faye Ackerman and Garnett Shelly. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Chris Neal of Marco Island, FL; granddaughters, Allison Neal of Canton, MI and Katy Neal of St. Louis Park, MN; brother-in-law, Wilburn Allen and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 PM and Monday from 10-11 AM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway where Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 17. A private family interment will be held in Garden City Cadillac Memorial Gardens. Memorials in Maxine?s memory may be directed to a Hospice program of your choice.
