Mattawan Passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Max was born July 13, 1932 in Bangor, MI the son of Roy and Avis Coffinger Hogmire and had lived in the Portage area before moving to Mattawan 10 years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked for the Upjohn Company for almost 34 years. Max was a Founding Member of the Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers club. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Jack Hogmire. Surviving are his wife, Rosemary Hogmire; their children, Connie Stephen Simunovic of Mattawan, Martha L. Simunovic of Oshtemo and Tim Hogmire of Vicksburg; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and his dog, Daisy. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Borgess VNA.
