Mary L. Vrbancic

VRBANCIC, Mary L. Mary Louise Vrbancic, age 92, was born December 19, 1919, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Blaz and Mary Svonar Kolarich and passed away October 5, 2012, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mary was a resident of Kalamazoo most of her life and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had been a volunteer for over 30 years with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Kalamazoo; and was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph C. Vrbancic, who preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna Hill. Surviving are her son, John Vrbancic of Kalamazoo; her goddaughter, Denise VanEpps and her sons, Jason and Nicholas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9th from 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 10th at St. Joseph Catholic Church 936 Lake Street with Msgr. Michael Hazard, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
