Mary J VanEenenaam

VANEENENAAM, Mary J. Mary J. VanEenenaam went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 12, 2009. She was born April 1, 1931, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Axel and Marjorie McLean Johnson. Mary was a graduate of Michigan State and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. On June 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to Dr. Robert D. VanEenenaam who practiced dentistry for many years in the Kalamazoo area until retiring in 1998. Mary was a member of the Second Reformed Church of Kalamazoo. She was also a member of the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Auxiliary and was active with Girl Scouts for many years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on December 3, 2000; by her parents; by a sister Margaret Shimer and a brother, James Johnson. Surviving are a son, Dr. Jeffrey VanEenenaam and Bonnie VanEenanaam of Portage and a daughter, Ann Ezop and Rev. Stephen Ezop of Lansing; four grandchildren, Abbie Capt. Steven Rogers, Alex VanEenenaam, Elizabeth Justin Evans and Christopher Ezop; a great-grandson, Jordan Evans; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A private family entombment service will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Second Reformed Church 2323 Stadium Drive.
