Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away suddenly on April 18, 2008. Mary was born April 10, 1963 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Alan and Louise Guellec VanLoon and was raised in Clarkston, MI. She was a Registered Nurse and graduated from Nursing School at Oakland University. On October 27, 1989, she was married to Dr. Michael S. Pawlik, who survives. Also surviving are two teenage daughters, Sarah and Emily Pawlik, both at home; her parents Alan and Louise VanLoon of Clarkston, MI; a brother Clifford VanLoon of California and 3 sisters, Anne Steve Ronk of Clarkston, Kathe James Heaslip of Brighton and Amy Sean Campbell of Clarkston; nine nieces and nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, Anne Pawlik of Allen Park, Rose VanSickle of Arizona and Therese Pawlik of Farmington Hills. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday at St. Augustine Cathedral, 542 W. Michigan Ave. with the Rev. Fr. James Richardson, Celebrant. Friends may meet the family on Monday from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 1-3 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Texas Township. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made to the A.E.D. Fund of Kalamazoo County, P.O. Box 1464, Portage, MI 49081.
