Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday morning November 15, 2011. Mary was born March 23, 1935 in Pekin, Illinois a daughter of Leroy and Laura Bloomfield Blackburn. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Diekema Hamann Architects for 15 years before retiring. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley H. Owens on July 19, 1973; and a sister, June Polen. She is survived by 2 children, Suzanne Daniel Popp of Vicksburg and Stephen Owens of California; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie, Shannon, and Kelli; a sister, Lois Heiser of Battle Creek; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday. Interment will be in Mt.
