Mary Jane Oswalt

Mary Jane Oswalt, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was born October 4, 1926 in Kalamazoo to the late Ralph and Alice (McCarty) Branch. She was united in marriage on July 29, 1946, to James Robert (Bob) Oswalt, who preceded her in death in August of 2009. She had many hobbies and interests, including the Bunco Club, playing Yahtzee, gardening and woodworking with Bob. Surviving are her children, Linda (Jacob) Westra and Karen (Mark) Wilgenhof; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson; siblings, Mae Oswalt, Gerry VanderBor and Barbara Sootsman; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Mary in death were 2 brothers, Marion Branch, Franklin Branch. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 9th from 10-11am at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where services will follow at 11:00am, Rev. James Dyke, officiating. Burial will follow at Genessee Prairie Cemetery. Memorials in Mary's name may be directed to Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan.
