Mary Madolyn (McBee) McCoy

Mary Madolyn McCoy, age 89 of Kalamazoo, died at home June 16, 2019. She was born April 6, 1930, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Edwin McBee and Bertha (Chaney) Harrison. Mary was joined in marriage to James T. McCoy on February 1, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mary was a chef at the Park Club for 12 years and enjoyed her position as an operator in the engineer department at Summit Polymer. She is survived by her children: Mary Williams, Nancy West, and Ben (Susan) McCoy; her daughter-in-law Marilyn McCoy; her 8 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; her 12 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Rudy McBee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons, James McCoy, Jr. and Nathan McCoy; her grandsons, Michael McCoy and Troy McIntire; her son-in-laws, Kenneth Williams and Bill West. Mary had spent the last few years as an active member of Senior Care Partners. She cherished her time especially joining in the religious participation group. Special thanks to Senior Care Partners and all the wonderful staff who loved and cared for our beloved mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Her service will follow at 11 AM Thursday with Graveside services concluding in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Amazing Grace, the Senior Care Partners Dementia House.
