MAAS, Mrs. Mary M.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Wednesday afternoon February 29, 2012 at her residence. Mary was born July 13, 1931 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Clarence and Mary Gallagher Johnson. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of St. Andrew Community Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold "Harry" R. Maas on July 30, 2000; a brother, James Johnson; and a sister, Patricia Johnson. She is survived by a son, Michael Jodi Maas of Prescott, AZ; a daughter, Susan Maas of Kalamazoo; a brother, Edward Diane Johnson of Kalamazoo; a sister, Catherine "Kay" Guilfoyle of Kalamazoo; several special nieces and nephews; and several special great nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held 11 o'clock Monday at St. Andrew Community Church, 3631 Covington with her dear pastor, Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Andrew Community Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
