Passed away Sunday morning, November 21, 2010. Mary was born July 7, 1920 in Schoolcraft the daughter of Chance and Mable Fox Hackenberg. She worked as a secretary in the family business, Roberts Steel Erection, Inc. for 50 years. Mary enjoyed snowmobiling, auto racing, and mushrooming with her husband, and spending time with her family. In 1941, she was united in marriage to Lyle Roberts who preceded her in death on November 4, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a son, Lyle; and 5 brothers and sisters, Warren, Clayton, Walter, Aileen, and Vera. She is survived by her children, Karen Mullen, Doug Vicky Roberts, Darryl Diane Roberts, Dennis Jan Roberts, Debbie Schabes; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ralph Jerry Hackenberg, Roland Hackenberg, Joyce Lefler, Margaret Brower; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Upjohn Community Care Center for their loving care over the past years. Services will be held at 12:00 o'clock Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Schoolcraft Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Friday from 6-8pm at the Portage Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Upjohn Community Care Center. www.langelands.com
