Mary J. Kohl

KOHL, Mary J. Galesburg Died May 9, 2007 at her residence. Mary was born May 22, 1920 in Galesburg, MI, the daughter of Harlow and Marian Meredith Rice and was a lifelong resident of Galesburg. She graduated from Galesburg/Augusta High School and enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and was an excellent amateur artist. Mary was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood, her oldest son Samuel, her youngest son James and by 2 sisters, Ruth and Sarah. Surviving are 1 daughter and 2 sons, Sarah Jim Taylor of Reed City, MI, Scott Shelley Kohl of Augusta and Randy Kohl of Galesburg; a sister Leah Abbott of Lake Odessa, MI and a brother Dale Mary Rice of Galesburg; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions in Mary?s memory may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
