Mary Jean Forward

Mary Jean Forward, age 81 of Climax, died on February 5, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1943, in Three Rivers, Michigan, the only daughter of Howard and Jean (Weindt) Comadoll. Mary Jean was a 1962 graduate of Three Rivers High School. During high school, she started secretarial training. She worked at several businesses over the years and later was a sample associate at Meijer and retired from the shoe department at Walmart. Mary Jean was married on December 19, 1964, to Hal Forward. They shared many wonderful years raising their three sons. She was a member of the Country Christian Evangelical Church. Mary Jean loved to sew, making clothing and blankets for her family and friends. She enjoyed word searches in later years. Throughout her life, Mary Jean was a wonderful baker making simple cookies to wedding cakes.

Her family includes her husband Hal Forward; her sons: Sean (Stacie) Forward, Kevin (Amanda) Forward, and Mark Forward (Suzann Foerster); her grandchildren: Taylor Forward (Tyler Mitchell), Samantha Braithwaite, Dylan Forward, Brooke Gillum, Dallas (Brittany) Gillum, Chareity Forward (Conner Enderud), Dahkota Forward, Brooke Forward, Zackary Forward, and Izabel Forward; her great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Ryder, Ainsley, Alivia, and Ny’ Leah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Jim and Bobby Comadoll.

A private interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
