Died Wednesday morning March 13, 2019 at her residence. Mary Lou was born June 23, 1927 in Charlevoix, Michigan a daughter of Albert and Bernice (Schooley) Shaw. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 40 years, coming from Traverse City. Mary Lou was also a member of Lighthouse Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Shaw; a sister, Marcella Balthaser. On June 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edwin G. Gregory who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Anne Gregory of Kalamazoo, James and David Gregory both of Traverse City, MI, and Linda (Thomas) White of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister, MaeZella (Robert) Potter of Charlevoix, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday March 30th at the Lighthouse Community Church, 4321 S. 11th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place in Traverse City, MI at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
