Portage Mary Editha Goff, age 100, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011. She was born December 25, 1910 in Poughkeepsie, AR, a daughter of William Edmond and Mary V. Barnes Barnett. On January 23, 1931, she married Aaron Goff who preceded her in death on September 2, 1977. She was also preceded by her parents; a daughter, Louise Baker; and a brother, John Mark Barnett. Mary is survived by her daughters, Lavon Tom Jewell of FL, Ila Arther of MD and Nina Paul Longjohn of Kalamazoo; a son-in-law, Paul Baker of Pontiac, MI; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Jennie Mae Kunkle of CA; a half-sister, Emmagene Brown of AK; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
