Mary Jane Gibson

Mary Jane Gibson, age 90, of Richland and formerly of Portage, passed away March 13, 2024. She was born March 2, 1934 in Kalamazoo to the late Henry and Grace (Sluys) Boven.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Jack Gibson; daughter-in-law, Shelly VanderMolen; and son-in-law, Gary Storteboom.

She is survived by her children, Rick Gibson, Linda Gibson, and Lisa Storteboom; grandchildren: Greg Gibson, Michelle Thornburg, Jessica (Bob Greis) Jeffrey, Jennifer (Brian) Bishop, Jacob (Hannah) Storteboom, and Matthew (Victoria Greene) Storteboom; great-grandchildren: Brandon Thornburg and Lucas Storteboom; as well as several siblings, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 9420 Portage Rd, Portage, MI 49002, where friends may gather from 12:00pm until the time of the service. A time for food and fellowship will follow at church. Interment will then follow at Portage South Cemetery.
