ENGEL, Mary E.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Lifecare Center of Plainwell. Mary was born September 21, 1923 in Congerville, IL, to the late Joseph and Edna Detweiler Miller. She was united in marriage to Carl Engel on June 20, 1948 in Illinois. Carl preceded her in death on August 16, 1986. Mary was a member of the Methodist Church and attended Westwood United Methodist Church for many years, until her health began to fail. She also enjoyed her knitting and sewing. She is survived by her children, Dennis Paula Engel of California, Philip A. Engel of Kalamazoo; granddaughter, Marguerite Engel; brothers, Clyde Helen Miller, Harold Lois Miller and Glenn Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister and 3 brothers; 1 sister-in-law and 1 nephew. Services will take place Monday, December 31st, 10:00 o?clock at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo with a visitation 1-hour prior to the services. Rev.Dr. Wayne Price will officiate the services. Interment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
