DILLON, Mary L.
of Portage Passed away October 25, 2010 at her home. She was born July 16, 1932 in Kalamazoo. Mary was married to Donald L. Dillon, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2004. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She touched the hearts of all through her incredible passion for life. In her eyes, life was always a glass half full. She was truly cherished by all who knew her. Mary loved gardening, playing games, collecting dolls, and spending time with friends and family. She will be fondly remembered for her contagious laughter, deep love for animals, travel, art and music. Two of her most favorite past times were listening to her husband play drums and spending time with her grandchildren. Her pancake extravaganzas and fun filled home music videos will truly be missed. Surviving Mary are her children, Donald Kim Dillon III of Portage, Thomas Dillon of Kalamazoo, Debra Byron Banister of Portage and Bruce Christine Dillon of Portage; 10 grandchildren, Schawn, Nicole, Kelly, Molly, Paul, Tommy, Aspen, Michael, Whitney and Chadwick; 4 great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Shiloh and Regan; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will take place Friday, 11:30, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St, where family will greet friends 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
