VAN DAM, Mrs. Mary C.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away peacefully Thursday morning, November 1, 2012 with her family at her side. Mary was born November 3, 1924 in Hardington, Nebraska, a daughter of Glenn and Louise Lammers Morris. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Upjohn Company for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Following her retirement, she worked at Sam's Club as a Demo Lady. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a son, George VanDam; a sister; and 6 brothers. She is survived by 2 daughters, Grace Dave Stafinski of Vicksburg and Bette Olivares of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Michelle and Jessica Olivares, Angela Olivares Ibrahim Basudan, Sara Olivares, Lisa John Moden, and Dave Stafinski; 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-8pm Sunday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the University of Michigan Motts Children's Hospital.
