Passed away Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016 in Coldwater, MI. Mary was born July 22, 1940 in Yale, MI the daughter of the late Cornelius and Helen (Drago) Gleason. She was a graduate of Western Michigan and loved teaching children. Mary enjoyed attending services at St. John Bosco Catholic Church and spending time with her family. On May 22, 1960 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Edwin Charles, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Lisa; and brothers, Cornelius and Patrick Gleason. Mary is survived by her sons, Brian Charles, Kevin Charles, Doug (Ann) Charles; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Rachael, Casey, Kelley, Nicole, and Kylie; sister and brother, Suzanne Gleason, Louis Gleason; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, November 15 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen officiating. Friends may meet the family Monday evening, November 14 from 5-7pm at the Westside Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:30pm. Interment will be in Almena Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul of Mattawan.
