CALHOUN, Mary Elizabeth Tucker Kenosha, WI
Formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at her daughter's home in Kenosha, WI. She was born August 17, 1913 in Cherry Point, IL, one of three children to David and Dorothy Steinbrugge Tucker. Mary was a teacher for Comstock Public Schools. She was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church formerly Kalamazoo Wesleyan Church, and while in Kenosha, she attended Plymouth Congregational Church. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. On August 23, 1941, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Calhoun in Chrisman, IL, who preceded her in death on August 1, 1988. Also preceding her in death are one brother and one sister. Surviving are four children, D. Charlotte Calhoun of Kenosha, WI, Kenneth Calhoun Jr. of Kalamazoo, Jean David Northrup of Humble, TX, and Mark Marcella Calhoun of Henderson, NV; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Calhoun will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with Rev. Danny Janes officiating. Interment will follow in Genesee Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
