of Portage, MI Passed away September 14, 2009 at home. She was born December 23, 1923, in Tekonsha Township to the late Clarence and Berenice Walker Slighly. Mary's first marriage to William Gibson, the father of her son, Dennis, ended in divorce. Her second marriage was to Elton Arms, who predeceased her. Surviving Mary are her children, Dennis Cindy Gibson of Eustis, FL; step children, Eric Carol Arms of Tustin, MI, Kay Claude Street of Climax and Sherry Russel Boothby of Climax; several grand and great grandchildren, and; great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were sisters, Mabel Slighly and Dorothy Walker. Funeral services will take place Thursday, 11:00 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street, Climax, where family will greet friends from 10-11:00, just prior to services. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marshall. Rev. James Dyke will officiate services.
