Martin G. Haase

HAASE, Martin G. Kalamazoo Mr. Haase passed away Saturday evening, February 3, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born August 17, 1937 in Tulpeningen, East Prussia, the son of the late Ernst and Emma Zimmerman Haase. Martin worked as a brick mason and retired from Bonnema Construction in 2004. On December 15, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sharon Toohey in Kalamazoo, who survives. Also surviving are their 4 children, Stan Haase of Kalamazoo, Elayne Patrick Forseman of Kalamazoo, Martin Jr Lisa Haase of Comstock, and Lori-ann Al Garrison Haase of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren, Stan Jr, Jason, Michelle, Jamie, Timothy, Anthoni, Jonathan, Ashley, Rebecca, Brandi, and LeeAnn; 3 great-grandchildren, Haven, Hailey, and Rozalyn; 1 sister, Siegrid Eric Kengler of Germany; 4 brothers, Erwin Ida Haase of Comstock and Walter Brigite Haase, Manfred Dores Haase, and Harold Ruth Haase all of Germany; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Haase will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Pastor Kenneth Johnson of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
