Benninger, Martha Agnes Paquette
Of Kalamazoo Formerly of South Haven Passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Age 94 years. She was born January 19, 1918, the daughter of the late Richard and Alleccena Martell Paquette. She graduated from Cadillac High School. She was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church in South Haven and recited the rosary daily for those on her prayer list. Martha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great story teller, enjoyed playing cards, was an avid reader, loved music and according to family and friends, was the best cook in the world. She is survived by four children, David Lynn Barbara Evans of Vancouver, British Columbia, Michael Leigh Evans of Bradenton, FL, Mary Kay John Bond Kelley of Middlebury, IN and Melody Ann Guillermo Martinez Pott of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Evans; her son-in-law, Charles Kelley; and 11 brothers and sisters. A memorial service will take place 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 W. Kilgore Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49008. Rev. Fr. Larry Farrell will officiate.
