Went to be with her Lord on April 15, 2009 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Marta was born December 11, 1960, the oldest of 3 children to Javier and Julie Castro Arguelles. Marta came to Michigan on a scholarship to Hope College. She married Brian Tumm on January 2, 1988. They have 2 children, David and Daniel, who attend Portage Central High School. Marta worked as a Spanish interpreter and volunteered at the West Michigan Cancer Center and at the Hispanic Council. She visited her family in Costa Rica regularly. She enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, was energetic, and had a love for people. Marta was a part of the Southridge Reformed Church family. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving besides her husband and children are her mother Julie Castro of Costa Rica; a brother Enrique Ana Guiselle Arguelles and a sister Estella Arguelles, all of Costa Rica; her mother in law Vivian Tumm of Fall Creek, WI, brother-in-law Jeff Connie Tumm of Prospect, KY and 2 sisters-in-law, Diane Mike Schummer of Fall Creek, WI and Luann Dale Dohms of Menominee, WI; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday at the Southridge Reformed Church, 6726 Texas Dr. with Rev. Mark Vanderson and Rev. Becky Ringler officiating. Friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. and on Saturday from 10-12 at church.
