Of Richland Marlene passed away early Tuesday morning, October 13, 2009 at her home. She was born November 3, 1949 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Beck Stearns. A 1967 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School, Marlene was a member of Radiant Church in Richland. On October 11, 1969, she was united in marriage to Jerry C. Henson. Marlene devoted her life caring for her family and friends and raising her two sons. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Jerry Henson; their two sons, Jere Angela Dingman Henson of Kalamazoo and Troy Henson of Climax; one grandson, Shayn Henson; her sister, Noreene James Greenman of Olivet; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Marlene will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W. Dickman Road M-96, Augusta, with memorial services at 11:30 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Pulmonary Hypertension Association, or West Michigan Cancer Center.
