KOVAC, Mark Robert
of Portage, Michigan Passed away suddenly, on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at his home. Mark was born December 22, 1959 in Ann Arbor, MI a son of Robert and Judith Luxon Kovac and lived in Portage for 30 years. Mark graduated from Ann Arbor Huron High School, Western Michigan University and was a sales associate for Metro Toyota for 20 years. He loved to be with his family and golfing friends, was a wonderful husband for Rosie and a strong father for Lindsey. Mark and Rosie were married August 7, 1982, just celebrating their 30th anniversary. In addition to Rosie, Mark is survived by his daughter, Lindsey 19; his parents; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; his mother-in-law, Ruth Stoll; a sister-in-law; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 7211 Oakland Dr. with Rev. Dr. Paul R. Naumann officiating. Interment will follow in South Portage Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church Youth Ministry or the American Heart Association.
