HAUSERMANN, Mark D.
Portage, Michigan Died September 30, 2008. Mark was born March 8, 1957 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Max and Dorothy Ann Hausermann and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. He graduated from Parchment High School and Western Michigan University where he earned degrees in financing and economics and was later employed as a C.P.A. for several different companies. Mark loved his family and had many interests including, camping, golf, bowling, sailing, gardening, Coney Island Hot Dogs, playing his bass guitar and listening to his blues music. On April 5, 1986 he was married to Bernadette Zolen who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Rachel who is attending M.S.U. and Matthew Hausermann, at home; his parents Max and Dorothy Ann Hausermann of Kalamazoo; his grandmother Lorna Buist of Kalamazoo; a sister, Deborah and James Adams of Texas and 2 brothers, Dale E. and Lisa Hausermann of Bath, MI, and Dan and Shelly Hausermann of Shelbyville, MI; a former sister-in-law Jill Hausermann of Kalamazoo; his parents-in-law Joseph and Maxine Zolen of Kalkaska, MI; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. followed by a memorial service on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Southridge Reformed Church, 6726 Texas Dr. with the Rev. Mark Vanderson officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Southridge Reformed Church. Please visit
