Dolph, Mark Otis of Climax Mark passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at home while surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born February 8, 1950 in Kalamazoo, MI a son to Mary E. Graham and Donald O. Dolph. He grew up in the Oakwood Neighborhood and graduated from Loy Norix HS in 1968. Mark retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after serving 19 proud years for his country. He served during the Vietnam War and during Desert Shield/Storm. Mark was a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Craftsman for the F-111 and the A-10 Thunderbolt Warthogs. His service took him all over the United States as well as Korea and England. He received many awards while in service including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Mark was also very active with the American Legion #465 located in Climax. Mark was loved very much by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four-legged BFF's - Alex and Buddy. He is survived by daughter Karen Allie Miller and son Daniel Dolph, granddaughters, Alexandra and Judy Miller, brother David Debbie Dolph and sister Lois Blakeslee, close companion Fran Sehy, nieces Dawn Steve Grant and April Dolph, and nephew Brian Melissa Lindsey. Funeral Service and visitation will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., www.langelands.com . Visitation will be Sunday, June 24th 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, June 25th with Reverend Whitney Brown officiating. Burial at Ft. Custer National Cemetery will follow at 2:00 p.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to American Legion #465, Climax, MI or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
