Mark R. Brigman

BRIGMAN, Mark R. Kalamazoo, MI Mark lost his seven month battle with end-stage liver disease and died early Saturday morning, September 5, 2009 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born June 11, 1965, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Arthur and Margaret Kerzman Brigman and had been a life long area resident. Mark loved his children and his family very much. He was a huge sports fan and especially loved the Cubs. Mark worked for over 23 years at Richard's Plumbing and Heating Supply. He was preceded in death by his father. On December 31, 2003, Mark was united in marriage to Dorothy Bartlett Heenan, who survives. Also surviving are: two children, Michael Lawrence Heenan and Christina Terry-Margaret Brigman; mother, Margaret Brigman of Kalamazoo; brother, Wayne Sandy Brigman of Portage; two sisters, Marilyn Larry Schutz of Kalamazoo and Merita Dan Gabriel of Maryland; father-in-law, Lawrence E. Bartlett of Portage; mother-in-law, Terry John Vander Ploeg of Kalamazoo; two brothers-in-law, Larry Cyndi Bartlett and Nick Bartlett all of Kalamazoo; eight nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, one great-nephew and many friends. Services will be held 2:00 Thursday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Friends and family will gather for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials should be directed to the National Transplant Assistance Fund in honor of Mark Brigman.
