Of Kalamazoo , MI Passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Bronson Hospital . Age 75 years. Marjory was born in Kalamazoo on September 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy Smith Houtcamp. She was married to Larry Anderson on May 12, 1956 in Kalamazoo; he survives her. Growing up on the East side of Kalamazoo, Marge graduated from Roosevelt and Kalamazoo Central High. She then started work at MI Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. Larry and Marge began their married life together in the Hillsdale neighborhood and later moved to Senne St. in Comstock, where they raised their family and most recently are residing in Cooper Township. Larry and Marge were big fans of their children's sporting events, never missing a game. They continued that tradition with their grandkids activities. They spent many years with family at the cottages on Crooked Lake in Delton and Gun Lake. She enjoyed traveling, ping pong, playing rummy and penny poker, boating, bingo, puzzles, neighborhood walks with the Senne/Claxton friends, and the casino. Surviving besides her husband are four children, Steve Debbie Anderson of Vicksburg, Linda Fricke of Portage, Laurie Evans of Portage and Sherry Paul Boughton of Portage; eight grandchildren, Kristopher and his fiancée, Kaycee, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Amanda, Andrew, Rachel, Thomas and Carly; one sister, Claudia Joe Kohler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Norman Beverly Anderson and Dennis Sue Anderson; and cousins. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012. Rev. Jim Dyke will officiate with interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
