Marjorie Lammers C. Young

YOUNG LAMMERS, Marjorie C. Marjorie Christine Young, age 93, passed away January 24, 2013 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Marjorie was born June 7, 1919, in Cedar Creek, Michigan, the daughter of John and Effie Albertson Lammers. She was a longtime Kalamazoo area resident and was a teacher with the Kalamazoo Public School System for 28 years prior to her retirement. Marjorie was a member of the Westwood Church of God. On August 3, 1962, she was united in marriage to William P. Young who preceded her in death on April 22, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by five brothers, Merl, Elwin, Clare, Duane and Wendall Lammers. Surviving are a brother and sister, Dale Lammers of Cedar Creek, MI and Joyce Palmer of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 28th at the Westwood Church of God 811 Gorham Lane with Pastor Tom Tufts officiating. Private burial services will be held in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 27th from 2-4 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street and Monday from 10-11 AM at the church. Memorials in Marjorie's memory may be directed to Westwood Church of God or Park Village Pines.
