Marjorie Rowe

ROWE, Marjorie Kingsbury Kalamazoo Went home to her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2007 at Borgess Nursing Home. Marjorie was born September 17, 1926 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Harold and Ruth Mann Kingsbury. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed at the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital. In 1965, she married Robert Rowe who preceded her to heaven on December 8, 1994. Marjorie is the loving mother of 4 daughters, Gerrie Lynn Cavanaugh of Kalamazoo, Jacqueline Larrie Austin of Kalamazoo, Julie O?Flynn of Kalamazoo and Jill Ann Penning, who preceded her to heaven in 1999. Marjorie is also a special mother/grandmother to Carrie Axe of Kalamazoo and stepmother to Robert Rowe of Alpheritta, GA; sister to Richard Kingsbury and Shirley Walker, who both preceded her to heaven. Also surviving are her former husband Gerald Dickinson of Kalamazoo; a special brother-in-law Henry Walker of Kalamazoo; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may meet the family Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. and where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 o?clock on Thursday with her nephew, the Rev. Paul Kingsbury officiating. Private inurnment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In loving memory of her sister Shirley, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
