JOHNSON, Mrs. Marjorie J.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday afternoon June 1, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, after a brief hospitalization. Marjorie was born October 5, 1927 in Scottville, Michigan the daughter of Harold J. and Bessie V. Bosley Lohner. She had moved to Big Rapids, Michigan at the age of 13, from Ludington, Michigan, where she resided until 2006 when she moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to be closer to her family. Marjorie was a long-time member of the United Church of Christ, Big Rapids, Michigan and an active member of First Congregational Church, UCC, of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell F. Johnson in 1963; a brother, Harold Bud L. Lohner, 1998; and infant son, Joseph Johnson, 1961. Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Pamela S. Mark Cassino, Bridget E. Randal Billian, and Gretchen E. Johnson John Greenhoe all of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, Joseph R. Billian, DarcyJ. Billian, and Anna Anya G. Greenhoe; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday at the First Congregational Church, 129 South Park St. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Graveside services will be in Highland View Cemetery, Big Rapids, MI on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo or the United Church of Christ, Big Rapids, MI.
