Marjorie L. Holtz

HOLTZ, Marjorie L. Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 in Kalamazoo. Marjorie was born March 8, 1930 in Oshtemo Township, the daughter of Vernon and Dortha Bushell DeWaters and had been a resident of the area for many years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God of Kalamazoo. Marjorie was a strong, independent woman who loved people, working in her yard, working puzzles and singing. On April 22, 1950 she married Robert B. Holtz, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1995. She was also preceded by her parents and a son, Douglas. Her survivors include her children, Richard T. Holtz of Parchment, Linda Robert Pickard of Jennison, Gloria Randy, Robert B. Holtz, Jr.; many grand and great grandchildren; two brothers, Bernie Alecia DeWaters and Gary Lynn DeWaters all of VA; two sisters, Joyce Jim Taylor of FL, and Nita Nielson; a daughter-in-law, Vicky Holtz of Parchment; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge with Pastor John Flick officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the Cemetery Chapel one hour prior to the service.
