BURK, Mrs. Marjorie A. Portage, MI Died Tuesday morning September 25, 2007 at her residence. Marjorie was born June 14, 1938 in Coldwater, Michigan a daughter of Dale and Daisy Johnson Mollenkopf. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 47 years and was employed with the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency for 25 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Portage First United Methodist Church where she sang in the Chancel Choir and participated in various women?s programs. She was also a member of the Log Cabin Quilters; Kalamazoo Genealogy Club; and the Mi-Low Camping Club. Many of her favorite pastimes included watching Detroit Tigers Baseball and U of M Football games, camping, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by 3 children, Pamela Wellington of Fishers, IN, Jeffrey Rachel Burk of St. Joseph, MI, and Janice Andrew Lehr of West Fargo, ND; 7 grandchildren, Rick Wellington, Michael and Danielle Burk, Evan, Mackenzie, and Sawyer Tucker, and Trey Lehr; a brother, James Kay Mollenkopf of Sebring, FL; an uncle, Robert Laurette Johnson of Arizona; mother-in-law Genevieve Burk of Kalamazoo and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Services will be held 10 o?clock Saturday, October 6, at Portage First United Methodist Church, 8740 S. Westnedge Ave. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will be held 2:30 Saturday, October 6, in Oakgrove Cemetery, Coldwater, MI. Memorials may be directed to the Portage First United Methodist Church.
