PRICE, Marilyn J.
Of Kalamazoo Marilyn passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Arthur and Flossie Roe Longjohn. On April 16, 1949, Marilyn was united in marriage to Robert Price. She was employed by Meijer Thrifty Acres for 28 years until her retirement, and worked for Longjohn Flower Shop and Greenhouse for over 50 years. Marilyn also volunteered her time at Second Impressions thrift store. She was a lifelong member of North Park Reformed Church and loved to go camping, play bingo, crochet and travel. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Robert Price; five children, Judy Glen Pretzer of Parchment, Gary Price of Galesburg, Ron Dotti Price of Kalamazoo, Mike Price of Kalamazoo, Rob Chris Price of Kalamazoo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gerri Napp of Kalamazoo, Grace McIntyre of Kalamazoo, and Ruth Frank Abelard of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Rev. Gerald Marjorie Longjohn of Plainwell and Donald Longjohn of Middleville; sister-in-law, Delores Ellsworth of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and one infant brother, Dale William Longjohn. Funeral services for Marilyn will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Road, with her brother Rev. Gerald Longjohn, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street.
