Marilyn Fisk Newell Nikitas

NIKITAS, Marilyn Fisk Newell Of Galesburg Passed away December 16, 2007. She was born January 29, 1930, the daughter of John Woodworth and Kathrine Furst Newell. Her ancestors, Henry and Andrew Furst, were early German settlers of Kalamazoo. Graduated Nazareth Academy in 1947. Employed by Borgess Medical Center for 23 years and the past three years volunteered with Kalamazoo Senior Services? Foster Grandparents Program. Member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include children, Greg Melinda Nikitas, Sarah Nathan Sielbeck, grandchildren, Andrew Brill and Sydney Nikitas, and several very caring cousins. Cremation has taken place. A remembrance service will be held in 2008. Memorials may be made in her name to Galesburg Library or Zion Lutheran Church Library.
