MARSLEY, Marilyn J.
Of Portage Passed away August 13, 2012 at the age of 69. She was born January 23, 1943 in Kalamazoo to the late Charles T. and Bernice F. Bradeen Simon. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Portage and active within the church. She was employed with Meijer for about 35 years in both the jewelry and appliance departments. After retirement, Marilyn enjoyed traveling and the arts through painting and poetry. Surviving Marilyn are her son, Jorge Marsha Costales of Portage; 2 grandchildren, Derek Rebecca Hutchinson and Acacia Costales; sister, Sharon Robert Berish; brothers, Charles Marcia Simon and Dennis Diane Simon; Jorge Costales, father of her son; and many nieces and nephews. Services will take place Thursday, 11:00 o'clock at First Baptist Church of Portage, 1133 East Centre Ave., where family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 o'clock. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials may be directed to Children's Cancer Research.
