Of Kalamazoo Marilyn passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2009 at her home. She was born March 24, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of William and Lutha Glidden Schallhorn. Marilyn was employed by Continental Linen Service until her retirement. Surviving are her 2 children, Sally Bob Fredenburg and Duane Jr. Ann Hughson both of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Jesselyn Campbell, Dana Hughson, Jonathan Fredenburg, and Elizabeth Fredenburg; 2 great-grandchildren, Aries and Apollo Campbell; 1 brother, William Dorothy Schallhorn of Delton; 1 sister, Arlene Schallhorn of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Duane Hughson Sr.; 1 son, Terry Hughson; and 2 brothers, David and Dale Schallhorn. Funeral services for Marilyn will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. Dr. Wayne A. Price, of Westwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
