ZEEDYK, Mrs. Marillyn R.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday afternoon July 17, 2011 at her residence. Marillyn was born May 25, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Jacob and Maryette Brace Ossewaarde. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with National Waterlift for 25 years, retiring in 1991. Marillyn was also a member of the First Reformed Church where she sang in the church choir. Years ago, Marillyn volunteered at Bronson Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former spouse, Richard V. Zeedyk in 1997; and her brother, Jacob Ossewaarde. Marillyn is survived by 3 children, Thomas Nancy Zeedyk of Parchment, Maryette David Stuut of Portage, and Lawrence Zeedyk of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, T.J. and Jacob Zeedyk, Neil Carley Stuut, Emily Zenas Dass Stuut, and Bryant Stuut; a great-granddaughter, Addison Stuut; lifelong friends, Dorothy, Beverly, Bill, Elly and Esther; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family 6-8pm Monday, July 25th from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private graveside services will be held in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
