Marie D Moerman

MOERMAN, Marie D. Of Kalamazoo Marie passed away Friday morning August 31, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice. She was born May 18, 1918 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Tina Kalleward Schaal. She was a longtime resident of Kalamazoo and had resided at Gun Lake for 24 years where she enjoyed family gatherings, watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoy the lake, and was a member of the Gun Lake Women?s Club. Marie enjoyed doing crafts, but mostly her life centered around her family and she dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On February 5, 1936 she was united in marriage to Marinus Moerman who preceded her in death on June 2, 1987. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Johnny Schaal. Surviving are her children, Ronald Joyce Moerman of Plainwell, Ken Donna Moerman of Gun Lake and Linda Markee of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-2 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday. A private family interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials in Marie?s memory may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
